One of the most popular boating locations, Port Angeles Boat
Haven is spread over 16 acres of the Port Angeles harbor.
Home to copious fishing and pleasure boats, the harbor also
boasts of over 520 moorage spaces with electricity, water,
fuel, and many other services.
Bay View
Considered an ideal place for boating, Bay View State
Park is a 25-acre camping park with 1,285 feet of saltwater
shoreline on Padilla Bay. Over 11,000 acres of Padilla Bay
are designated as National Estuarine Sanctuary. Breazeale
Padilla Bay Interpretive Center is located a half mile north
of the park.

Summer: 8 a.m. to dusk.

Camano Island
This 134- acre of the park has 6,700 feet of rocky shoreline
and beach that is perfect for boating. Besides boating the
other thing that attracts the people here is the magnificent
views of the neighboring mountains as well as opportunities
for shellfish harvesting. There are two boat ramps. The watercraft
launch permits are available for $5 at the park.

Fort Flagler
Resting on a high bluff overlooking the Puget Sound, the Fort
Flagler State Park spreads across 784-acre marine camping
park. Surrounded by 19,100 feet of saltwater shoreline, one
also gets to see the magnificent views of the Olympic and
Cascade Mountains. Many historic buildings remain at this
19th-century-established military fort. Boating here features
two boat ramps and the park provides 256 feet of dock. A watercraft
launch permit is available at the park for $5. There are 256
feet of moorage also available.

Winter: Open for day use only Oct. 29 to March 1.
Jarrell Cove
Easily accessible the Jarrell Cove State Park spreads across
43-acre marine camping park. It has 3,500 feet of saltwater
shoreline on the northwest end of Harstine Island in south
Puget Sound. Mostly the tourists and the visitors reach here
by the boat. The park has campsites near the docks, as well
as on rolling, grassy areas.

Centennial Trail
Located between Snohomish and Lake Stevens this seven-mile
Centennial Trail is quite popular amongst the cyclists. Built
on an abandoned railroad right-of-way the paved trail has
been given the status of the national recreational trail and
is open to walkers, bikers, hikers, and horseback riders.
There are picnic spots too along the route, which parallels
the Pilchuck River in many spots. The trail started developing
since 1989 during the state's centennial, hence it has got
the name, Centennial Trail.
This paved trail that runs for 37 miles in eastern Washington
state ---from Nine Mile Falls to the Idaho State line. Nine
Mile Falls is also the site of Riverside State Park, where
visitors can camp and explore on foot or horseback the many
historic sites and natural features of the area.
Iron Horse Trail
It's an experience cycling on this trail. This picturesque
trail climbs Snoqualmie Pass and covers the Cascade Range
from the western foothills east to the upper Columbia River.
All through the trail you cross the scenic deserts, canyons,
and forests.
This 1,612-acre park was once a part of the path of the Chicago-Milwaukee-St.
Paul-Pacific Railroad. More than 100 miles of trail extends
from Cedar Falls to the Columbia River. High trestles provide
spectacular views of the valley below. The trail is suitable
for any rider with a bike that can go off pavement.

This is an excellent route for biking. Cycle through the protected
harbors, parks with tall firs and cedars, and a beautiful
old cemetery near Port Madison. The tombstones here are beautiful.
Make sure to make a stop here and check them out. This is
a 36-mile loop that starts with a 35-minute ride on the Bainbridge
ferry from downtown Seattle (Pier 52).
Skagit Flats Bike Ride
Mount Vernon, WA The bike ride here is quite flat. The route
includes Fir Island--formed by the North Fork and South Fork
of the Skagit River--to La Conner, and head to a quaint fishing
village along the Swinomish Slough. Riding is fun here as
the roads are paved and traffic is minimal. On the way you
also get to tour the annual Historic Home Tour where you see
beautiful Victorian-style homes regularly open to the public.
This 32- mile loop also has a plenty of wildlife on the way.
You can hear the meadowlarks sing from the fence posts and
fields. If you happen to go during spring and fall, you can
see the ducks and geese wing across the sky.

Banks Lake
Spread over large area of 24,900 acres, this is a warm
water lake that is a great venue for fishing enthusiasts.
With 91 miles of shoreline, the lake is a great destination
for enjoying the water sports too. Usually the lake is not
that crowded. It has the best walleye waters in the region,
making it popular with anglers statewide. Formed by the construction
of Grand Coulee Dam, this lake offers excellent fishing for
large and small mouth bass, rainbow trout, perch, crappie,
whitefish and catfish.
Fishing season- Open all year round.
Black Lake
Another very popular destinations amongst the fishing enthusiasts
here is the Black Lake Spread across for 570 acres the lake
lies 4 miles southwest of Olympia. Best time to visit the
lake during summers for cutthroat, largemouth bass, perch
and crappies, with a few brown bullheads.
Patterson Lake
Situated in south Lacey , the Pattison Lake is around 270
acres. A great place to fish for brown trout and planted rainbows
with carry-overs running over 16 inches is typical of the
opener on Patterson. Summers are popular for the anglers as
they catch like largemouth bass, perch, crappies and rock
bass.
St. Clair
Just about 5 miles south east of Lacey lies St. Clair,
Lake. With an area of 270 acres there area variety of fishes
available here. Some of them available all the year round
are a largemouth bass, perch, bluegills and crappies. Only
kokanee is available in the summer. The lake is about 75%
developed and the rest brush/trees.

Skyline Seaplane Base
Owned by the Skyline Marina Inc. Skyline Seaplane Base
serves Anacortes and Skagit County. Providing a distance of
5000 feet for seaplanes to land, the facility is at an elevation
of 0 feet at a distance of about 3 miles from Anacortes.
Auburn Municipal Airport
Serving Auburn and King County, the Auburn Municipal Airport
is owned by the City Of Auburn. The paved runway extends for
3400 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 57 feet at a
distance of about 2 miles from Auburn.
Davenport Airport
Owned by the city of Davenport, the Airport serves Davenport
and Lincoln County. With more than one runway, it has the
longest paved runway extending 3126 feet. The facility is
at an elevation of 2416 feet at a distance of about one mile
from Davenport.
Copalis State Airport
Serving Copalis and Grays Harbor Copalis State Airport , the
Copalis State Airport is owned by Washington State Aviation
Div. The runway extends for 4500 feet. The facility is at
an elevation of 1 feet at a distance of about 2 miles from
Copalis Beach.
Wilson Creek Airport
With more than one runway, the Wilson Creek Airport serves
Wilson Creek and Grant County and is owned by Town Of Wilson
Creek. It also has the longest paved runway extending 3074
feet. The facility is at an elevation of 1440 feet at a distance
of about one mile from Wilson Creek.

It is an experience in itself when it comes to Hang Gliding
and Paragliding. It is affiliated with Tiger Mountain Paragliding
School on the west side of the Cascades, with the same number
for reservations.

Interurban Trail
This 13- mile paved trail was once used to carry passengers
and freight between Seattle and Everett in the early 1900's.
The trail follows the Interurban Trolley Line. It is now that
the trail is accessible to walkers, joggers, bladders and
bikers. It is marked with directional and historical signs
and can be accessed at various locations along the route.

Pacific Northwest Trail

as one of the scenic trails in the world it stretches for
1200 miles. The hikers cross the magnificent terrain including

Olympic Mountains. The trail also crosses 3 national parks
and 7 national forests. Hikers, equestrians, and mountain
bikers are usually in for an adventure for a lifetime.

Well known for scuba diving The Edmonds Underwater Park in Puget
Sound is placed immediately north of the Edmonds ferry landing
at the foot of Main Street. Spread over an area of 27 acres
of tide and bottomlands, where some of it have been developed
with features and trails specifically for divers. The waters
have been protected from heavy coastal surges and the inland
water of Washington supports plenty of sea life as well as a

Hurricane Ridge
One of the Olympic National Park it is just 17 miles from
Port Angeles. Hurricane Ridge is one of the most scenic areas,
here that offers a panoramic view of the Strait of Juan de
Fuca and the alpine meadows and glacier-clad peaks of the
Olympic Mountains. The Ridge offers a gift shop, food concessions,
ski shop, a museum and restrooms. There is also a visitor
center open seven days a week April through October.
White Pass
Spend a day in paradise at White Pass where you find fresh
snow. Placed in Washington's breathtaking Washington's Cascade
Mountains, you find abundant snowfall and the untouched beauty.

Conconully State Park
The word Conconully was the Indian Tribe's name for this area.
It was "konekol'p", which was applied to the creek, and the
original English name was "conconulp". This 81-acre park situated
on the shores of Conconully Lake features picnicking, camping,
freshwater fishing, swimming, hiking and snowmobiling in winter.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed
parks and covers about quarter million acres.
Lake Wenatchee State Park
The park features a variety of activities all the year
round including windsurfing, boating, and sledding. The Spokane
House Interpretive Center here tells the story of the Pacific
Northwest fur trade. There are also Indian petroglyphs and
a waterfall.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed
parks and includes about a quarter million acres.
Riverside State Park
Some of the activities featured here include camping,
motorcycle and ATV riding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing
and horseback riding.
