The Seattle Asian Art Museum (SAAM) the crown jewel of the
city is located at the Volunteer Park. Overlooking the reservoir,
SAAM is always on the hot-spot-for-weddings list. The Seattle
Art Museum rose in 1991 is now ranked in the top 10 collections
of Asian art outside Asia that includes the Japanese Bijinga
i.e. a beautiful women, Literati which is a self-expression
and Yamotoe which are landscapes paintings. A visit here is
not completed without a look at the exquisite collection of
50 painted, carved and decorative snuff bottles. The diverse
artifacts here and art objects from the Ming and Qing Dynasties

The Children's Museum

Get your kids to the Children's Museum and just turn them
loose. It becomes difficult to keep a track, as they are busy
trying to learn about Filipino, Japanese and African cultures,
learn how do the doctors take care of their patients and also
learn to run a grocery store or fast-food restaurant. Make
sure to at least spend two hours in the museum. Special areas

The first thing you see after entering is the Air Force One
and the number of airplanes shoved inside will surprise you.
The best place for kids here is the mock tower overlooking
Boeing Field. There are exhibitions held on the golden age
of flying and on interesting displays showing building and
working of planes. Don't forget to visit the gift shop on
the way and do buy some ice cream that NASA astronauts eat.
American Museum of Radio

One of the coolest attractions in downtown, the American Museum
of Radio is evolved into a world-class, extremely interactive,
one-of-a-kind exhibit of more than 1,200 antique artifacts
and promises to grow. The museum is in the process of moving
to a new location and shares its interests in the historical
development of radio communications from the 1600s to today.

exhibits as well.
Edmonds Historical Museum

The Historical Society of Edmonds took over the former library
and city hall to pay tribute to the city and enhance the city's
progress. The rotating exhibit gallery on the top floor of
the regal brick and stone building depicts old and new Edmonds
through its displays. There is an extensive photo archive
and a research library at the workrooms and administrative
offices both open to the public. "The Changing Faces of Edmonds"
is an encapsulated, thematic and chronological display of
the city's history.
